This VN is definitely underrated in terms of spooktober. I finished all of the 7 endings in 1 hour and a half. The first ending for me was the Pollyanna one. I noticed the story has a slight psychological element to it. Also im so curious about who J was, was he the one who was outside on the road, the warehouse or the driver??
This game had a really creepy vibe to it. The mystery surrounding the creature that was chasing after her was what really got me to like this game. The part where she decides to run over the creature and it being describe is my favorite scene. 10/10
This is very much my cup of tea, hehe. I'm an absolute sucker for bad endings and bleak atmospheres, and boy did this deliver on both counts!
I managed to get all of the endings :3
I don't want to say any sort of spoilers, but I will say that I think my favourite endings wound up being the one with the same title as the game and maybe tied with the Stalking Corpse one. Sorry if I'm getting the name wrong there >.< That was the first one I got, and I didn't think to make notes.
Anyways, I love it :3 The art is gorgeous, the dark story is very much the sorta thing I'm into, and it's going straight on my recommendations list on here <3
Really liked this! I enjoy the cosmic horror elements, especially how varied it is throughout the different endings. You could definitely feel the oppressive atmosphere of a predator waiting for its prey to make a wrong move.
The phone booth scene is my favorite, and I am curious if the decisions made to get the Pollyana ending mean anything thematically or not.
Also, my cat decided to add his own review while I was typing this: 87777777777777777770op---------------
Thank you! I was going for the idea that this cosmic horror creature is somewhat childish (hence J's weirdly friendly behavior) and makes a lot of its decisions on a whim. But it will be less likely to hurt her the more it likes her, so playing along with it helps.
...Mechanically, only the last four options matter. I was trying to do a more complicated point system that would demonstrate the idea better but I'm super bad with programming even simple things like that. Maybe that's something I can change in a future update.
